IF YOU HAVE RECEIVED AN EMAIL FROM UPTODATE ABOUT HOW TO MAINTAIN REMOTE ACCESS, PLEASE FOLLOW THE INSTRUCTIONS BELOW.
PLEASE NOTE: UpToDate requires all users to authenticate their account once every 90 days to maintain remote access.
HOW TO REAUTHENTICATE YOUR ACCOUNT ON THE LIBRARY WEBSITE
Re-authentication can be done by logging into your UpToDate account. Your account will automatically be renewed when you have successfully logged into your account.
1. Go to the College of Medicine Library website: https://med.ucf.edu/library/
2. Click on the UpToDate link from the list of Online Databases (shown below).
3. Please note the access restrictions Once on the UpToDate Access landing page. Click the Continue to UpToDate button to proceed to UpToDate (Shown Below).
4a. If you log into your UpToDate account from OFF-CAMPUS, you will be redirected to the COM Login page (Shown below).
4b. Enter your NID ID and password. Once you have successfully logged in, you will be directed to the UpToDate website.
5a. The UpToDate website will open. If you have logged in like this before, you may see your name in the top right corner of the website because UpToDate has connected your account with your NID. If your account is about to expire, you may also get a message that it has been renewed. Skip to step 7.
5b. If you do not see your name in the top right corner, click the Log Out button on the top right and log in with your UpToDate personal account username and password (Not your NID).
6. Once logged in, you will successfully renew your account for the next 90 days.
7. To verify your renewal, click on My Account (shown below).
8. Under the Subscription heading, click on View Expiration Date (shown below).
9. Your access date for the next 90 days will be shown.
