BMJ Case Reports - Authors must be affiliated with UCF and should contact the library for instructions. For additional journals that accept case reports and are free see Part 2.1 of this guide. BMJ offers an open access option but this is not covered by UCF.

For medical education journals that offer free open access see Part 2.2 of this guide.

The following journals are free to publish in open access journals. Authors are not charged article processing fees when publishing in these journals through a "Publish and Read" agreement provided by the University of Central Florida Libraries.

Portland Press Publish and Read Journals: Articles authored by researchers from multiple institutions including UCF are covered so long as it is the UCF corresponding author who submits the article. A UCF author needs to be named as a corresponding author on the paper but does not need to be the primary investigator.

Cambridge University Press journals for 2023-25: Article processing fees are covered for hybrid and open access journals. For a list of journals visit, https://www.cambridge.org/core/publications/journals
