Promoting a Published Book
Congratulations on having your book published. Here are some things to consider when promoting your work.
- Write down your goals for promoting your book. What do you want to see as a result of this promotion?
- Identifty your target audience. It is important to know who will benefit from reading your work and what channels they use for communication.
- Reach your audience by promoting your work on the channels they already use, including social media with appropriate hashtags, professional list servs, or by promoting your book at conferences.
- Do you want your audience to read your book on a specific platform, or purchase your book from a specific book seller, include a call to action and link to help guide your audience to your book.
And remember to add your book to your CV and to send the announcement to comfacdev@ucf.edu to be included in AcCOMplishments, UCF College of Medicine's faculty developement newsletter that highlights faculty achievements.
