Continuous Access to UpToDate

 

In an effort to ensure all clinicians have uninterrupted access to UpToDate during the coronavirus pandemic, UpToDate has temporarily extended the re-verification period from 90 to 180 days, effective immediately. This means you will have UpToDate access even if you can’t re-verify with your subscribing institution. Please contact UpToDate customer service if you have any questions.

HSL Remote Services & Information

 

HSL Staff Availability

The HSL Staff will be available and monitoring their personal email accounts and the medlibrary email account during our usual Desk Hours of 8:00am - 5:00pm, Monday through Friday.

HSL Items: Checkout & Returns

The HSL will not be checking out any books or technology at this time. If you have an item that you checked out from the HSL, or through HSL Interlibrary Loans, please hold on to the item until the Library reopens. No fines or overdue fees will be assessed for any items that are due during this period.

HSL Interlibrary Loans (ILL)

The HSL Interlibrary Loans department will continue to process all electronic ILL requests. Print ILL requests will not be processed until the Library reopens. Please be patient and aware that it may take longer than usual to fulfill ILL requests due to COVID-19 disruption at medical libraries nation-wide.

HSL Moving to Remote Services

 

As of March 18th, 2020, per the University's directives, the Health Sciences Library will be shutting down it's physical space and moving to remote services.

If you need library assistance, please contact the HSL by email at medlibrary@ucf.edu, or contact your Personal Librarian directly by email. The HSL medlibrary email account is being continuously monitored during our Front Desk hours of 8:00am - 5:00pm, Monday through Friday.

Please do not call the Health Sciences Library for assistance. Unfortunately, call forwarding is not available at this time and we cannot guarantee when, or at what times, the Health Sciences Library phone messages will be checked.
